WelshAntiques has dated this Welsh Oak Wall Cupboard to the 1700s.

Although essentially utilitarian articles, the production of foodstuffs was a prestigious activity and this cupboard is an attractive and decorative piece of furniture. The fretted slats in the front are individually cut and of a dramatic design.

As is often the case, the cornice, hinges, backboards, baseboards and internal shelf have been replaced at some point in the past.
This useful and unusual cupboard is illustrated in Volume 2 of "Welsh Furniture 1250-190" as plate 801
