Gold and Enamel Pocket Watch "Parkinson & Frodsham"

Description

We are delighted to offer this most superb solid gold and enamel pair case pocket watch by the famous firm of "Parkinson and Frodsham" , this delightful timepiece comes complete with its original gilded glass backed outer case helping to protect the watch itself , the gold dial has engraved flowers to the centre with black roman numerals and a single winding aperture, the bezel decorated in blue and white enamel with gilding,the reverse is decorated in blue guilloche enamel with gold leaf border and green ,red and white central cartouche.

The movement engraved "made for E.F.Roope by Parkinson and Frodsham,Change Alley London 5309", the case has continental hallmarks and is stamped 6695 , we are confident the gold quality is 18ct.

The overall condition is gorgeous with only minor light scratching to the enamel back commensurate with its use , it is one for the serious collector of fine timepieces !
