This set of five small cut glass tumblers originates from the 1920s Art Deco period, produced by Tudor Glass in England. Each clear crystal piece presents traditional slice cut decoration to the sides and star cut bases, complemented by crisp geometric facet carvings around the lower half and a substantial weight. These vessels measure 7.5 cm high, 6.5 cm wide, and 6.5 cm deep individually, offering a reassuringly traditional feel with no chips or cracks noted. Display these classic items on a sideboard top or incorporate them into a gentleman's library setting for serving spirits during evening gatherings. Their robust construction and sparkling faceted surfaces make them suitable for regular use as well as decorative display within a period interior. The clear glass complements various table settings and traditional barware collections.

FAQs

During the 1920s, cut glass featured intricate geometric designs, heavy lead crystal construction, and sharp polished facets designed to refract light across home barware collections.

Traditional cut crystal was crafted by mouth-blowing thick glass blanks and hand-cutting geometric patterns using abrasive stone wheels before final polishing.

Authentic cut crystal exhibits crisp edge definition along the facet cuts, a distinct high-pitched musical ring when tapped gently, and noticeable physical weight.

These tumblers can be displayed on a dark timber sideboard, styled inside a modern glass display cabinet, or arranged on a polished brass drinks trolley to add visual texture.

Hand wash antique cut glass in warm water with mild liquid detergent using a soft cloth, avoiding automated dishwashers to prevent clouding or thermal shock.
