Antique early 20th century open bookcase in oak, a charming and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and attractive period detailing.

The bookcase offers four open tiers of fixed shelving, from the galleried top shelf down to the base shelf, providing practical display and storage for books, ornaments and collectables.

It is finished with a gently shaped wavy gallery to the top and shaped tops to the sides, while the front edges of the sides are decorated with a run of bobbin moulding. It stands on a neat plinth base.

The oak displays a lovely figured grain and a deep, rich dark colour with a pleasing patina, giving it real character.

Its narrow, shallow proportions make it ideal for an alcove, hallway, landing or any smaller space where a full-size bookcase would not fit.

Presented in good condition, it is a very desirable piece and the perfect addition to any traditional or period interior.

• Delivery is available throughout the UK mainland, including most areas of Scotland.

• Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.

• Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.

• Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.

• If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Collection is available free of charge from our stockroom at WR6 5JE, by appointment only. Please contact us in advance to arrange a convenient collection date and time.
