The central areas with an abundance of finely decorated flowers / peonies.

This impressive vase showcases traditional cloisonné craftsmanship with detailed wire-work in a T-fret patternand with rich enamel colours throughout. A substantial decorative piece and striking example of traditional Chinese decorative arts and cloisonné craftsmanship. Stamped with impressed "CHINA" mark on base.

Condition: Excellent original condition. Superbly detailed with elaborate and vivid coloured enamels. No restoration.

Dating the "CHINA" Mark:
U.S. Import Laws (1890s–1920s): Under the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890 and subsequent US laws, foreign items imported into the United States were required to be stamped with their country of origin. This led to English-language stamps like "CHINA" appearing on export pieces starting around the late 1890s.
