Description

Circa 1880 with alterations. Late Victorian inlaid mahogany, Sheraton-style three section open bookcase. Surmounted by a classical cornice over a frieze with checkered boxwood and ebony inlay, beneath are the three open bookcase sections each with five adjustable shelves and separated and flanked by simple mahogany pilasters. All supported on a moulded enclosed plinth base, in excellent condition. The clean lines of this bookcase make it suitable for a traditional or contemporary setting.
