Antique bonnet glass. The double ogee bowl with moulded flutes, applied blue rim and plain foot English c1760.

Rim dia: 6.1 cm.

Base dia: 5cm.

Weight: 118 grams.

A bonnet glass is a small footed glass vessel produced in Great Britain during the 18th century, named for its shape resembling an upside-down bonnet hat. These glasses were primarily designed for serving dessert items such as sweetmeats, jellies, or strong spirits like gin.
