Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian champagne coupes, popular in the early 1900s, feature a shallow, broad bowl elevated on a slender stem. They were designed to serve sparkling wine and often featured delicate acid-etched or wheel-engraved motifs such as garlands, ribbons, or floral swags.

Glassware from the Edwardian era was typically manufactured from high-clarity soda-lime glass or lead crystal. Patterns were applied using hand-cutting, wheel-engraving, or acid-etching techniques to create frosted surface details.

Authentic Edwardian champagne coupes often display slight hand-blown variations in glass thickness, polished pontil marks on the base, and fine hand-etched decoration. Early 20th-century glass is generally lighter in weight compared to mid-century reproductions.

In modern settings, a set of antique coupes functions as functional barware displayed on a drinks trolley or inside a glazed cabinet. They can also be repurposed for serving individual desserts or amuse-bouches during formal dinner parties.

Etched glassware should be washed individually by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent and a soft cloth. Dishwashers should be avoided as harsh detergents and high temperatures can cloud or damage delicate historical glass.
