Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Swedish Grace emerged between 1910 and 1930 as a bridge between Neoclassicism and Modernism, characterized by understated elegance, simple geometric silhouettes, and subtle decorative marquetry using exotic timbers like rosewood.

Cabinets from this era typically featured high-grade rosewood or walnut veneers over solid timber frameworks, complemented by contrasting wood inlays such as boxwood or fruitwood for detailed decorative motifs.

Authentic pieces exhibit precise hand-cut joinery, rich book-matched veneers, fine detail in the wood marquetry, and occasionally maker marks or stamps from prominent Swedish cabinetmakers of the early-to-mid 20th century.

Position the cabinet as a focal piece alongside modern minimal furnishings, pairing its deep timber tones with neutral wall colours, subtle brass accents, and minimalist artwork to highlight its historic craftsmanship.

Dust the surface regularly with a soft microfibre cloth and apply a high-grade beeswax polish occasionally to nourish the veneer. Keep the item away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent cracking and fading of the wood polish.
