This is a fabulous 19th century gilt bronze table lamp of exceptional quality and style dating from around 1890.
This is a substantial lamp in gilt bronze dating from around 1900. The lamp has a great presence as it is of such a good size; the gilt bronze base has a single putti kneeling amidst leafy scrolls over a large stepped rectangular plinth which is raised on cast bronze scroll feet.
The lamp is fitted with a good pleated coral shade which really compliments the piece.
This is an imposing piece in a room measuring 87 cms high overall with the base being 29 cms wide by 18 cms deep.
Provenance: From the selected contents of Bell Hall, Naburn, York.
