Circa. 1820. Very Large, Pine, Green Painted, Dowry Chest (Dutch).
This chest would suit a large entranceway. It''s at just the right height to sit on, take off your boots, and store them inside. Equally, it would make a great television/media stand, with room for a lamp and a pile of your favourite books.

Purchased from a distinguished, elderly gentleman who lived in a third floor, opulently decorated, apartment in the Oudeschans area of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
