A superbly stylish late 19th century to early 20th century, circa 1900, Iznik bottle vase.
The 30cm Iznik decorated vase presents in the traditional Ottoman style of the 18th century and later continued during the 19th century in Turkey, known as Kutahya, using the same decorative motifs and intricate, Islamic folk art designs, hand painted with cobalt blue, turquoise and often emerald green to create the striking decoration beneath the glaze.
Presented in mostly excellent condition, no cracks or losses, structurally excellent with a fine glaze, please note a tiny chip to the base which reveals the typical fritware pottery.
