Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A double series opaque twist glass is an 18th-century British drinking vessel featuring a stem decorated with internal white enamel spirals arranged in two distinct concentric patterns, popular between approximately 1755 and 1780.

These pieces were crafted from heavy lead crystal, also known as flint glass, with embedded canes of white enamel drawn and twisted within the molten glass stem during the hand-blowing process.

Authentic period pieces typically display hand-blown characteristics including a snapped or ground pontil mark beneath the foot, micro-wear patterns on the base, minor striations within the glass, and slight asymmetry in the twist pattern.

Georgian stemware can be displayed inside illuminated glass cabinets, arranged on a dining sideboard alongside period silver, or layered in small curated groupings on open shelving to highlight the stem detailing.

Hand wash individual items gently in lukewarm water using a mild, non-abrasive detergent, avoiding hot water to prevent thermal shock, and dry immediately with a lint-free soft linen cloth.
