Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Flight and Barr was a prominent English porcelain manufacturer operating in Worcester from 1792 until 1813, known for producing high-quality ornamental and useful wares for the Regency elite, often featuring neoclassical forms and elaborate hand-painted decoration.

These vessels were typically crafted from soft-paste or bone china porcelain bodies, finished with hand-mixed mineral enamel pigments in Imari or Japan palettes, and highlighted with burnished gilding applied by hand.

Authentic pieces from this period often bear hand-written or impressed factory marks such as Flight & Barr, BF, or royal warrants on the base, combined with period-correct potting techniques, characteristic footrims, and genuine hand-painted brushwork rather than transfer printing.

Such decorative pieces can be positioned on a mantelpiece, console table, or glass-fronted cabinet where their colours and gilding catch natural light, functioning as a focal point among minimalist or transitional furnishings.

Antique porcelain requires dusting with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and should never be immersed in water or cleaned with chemical solvents, as historical enamels and hand-applied gold leaf are vulnerable to abrasion and moisture.
