George II Stirling Silver Three Footed Cream Jug by George Campar of London - 1755

18th century
Description

Here is a charming little Georgian silver cream jug, sat on three feet , the main body with added repousse and chased decoration of scrolls and flowers, finished with a high double scrolled 'C' shaped handle.

Made by George Campar of London (who was registered on the 7th November 1749), the jug stands 9cm tall to the top of the handle, and is 8cm from the tip of the spout to the far edge of the handle, and weighs 75g. It is fully hallmarked on the base bearing the crowned Leopard for London, Lion guardant and the date stamp 'U' for 1755, and the curved 'G' for Camper's makers mark.

As I hope the photographs show, it is in lovely condition with no dings, cracks or dents. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can provide any further information or photographs.

I offer free delivery to mainland UK and am very happy to help with quotes for shipping abroad.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
