Description

Handsome Geo.III, Newcastle silver cream jug; of helmet shape, with pretty brightcut decoration to the body, which bears initials. The hallmarks are nice and clear, but lack a date letter, which is not unusual with provincial pieces. This maker was active at this period and the style is perfect for the estimated date. This sort of quirk is what makes provincial silver so interesting and collectable.
