The doors open to reveal 3 shelves and 1 slide (all adjustable & removable) with oak linings. Flanked by applied square columns with satinwood inlaid capitals and boxwood & ebony stringing. The lower section having 2 short over 2 wide drawers all having scrolling marquetry floral inlay in various imported coloured woods and brass ring handles and escutcheons. The whole raised on an off set moulding with shaped bracket feet. This stunning antique linen press was probably commissioned by Edwards & Roberts of London.
