They are of amazing quality and are a very useful size. They are tall and narrow, offering plenty of storage space inside the drawers and cabinets. They are predominantly satinwood, with beautiful burr walnut banding around the edges. The grain patterns and colour tones are absolutely gorgeous throughout.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco bedside cabinets from the 1930s are defined by geometric silhouettes, clean lines, and contrasting timber veneers such as satinwood and walnut. Metal hardware, typically in chrome or brass, provides a polished accent to the streamlined wooden frames.

Cabinet makers during the Art Deco era frequently combined decorative wood veneers, including satinwood, walnut, and rosewood, over solid timber carcasses. Metal handles crafted from chrome, nickel, or Bakelite were widely incorporated.

Authentic pieces feature construction details consistent with early to mid-20th-century craftsmanship, such as hand-cut dovetail joints and original period metalwork. Veneer banding and geometric grain patterns are also hallmark signs of the era.

Art Deco bedside cabinets work well alongside contemporary upholstered headboards and neutral bedroom textiles. Their geometric framing and contrasting wood tones complement modern minimal settings as well as layered vintage interiors.

Clean surfaces regularly using a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. Prevent veneer lifting or fading by keeping furniture away from direct heat sources and sunlight, and apply a high-quality beeswax polish sparingly.
