Walnut bedside cabinets are frequently found in styles spanning from the early 18th century through the Art Deco period, renowned for rich figuring and warm tones.

Traditional construction typically involves solid wood framing, dovetail joinery in drawers, and burr or veneer panels applied to secondary woods using animal glues.

Authenticity is assessed by examining hand-cut joinery, period-appropriate hardware, natural oxidisation of the timber, and minor inconsistencies indicative of hand-tool work.

Pair the rich texture of dark wood with minimalist lighting and neutral walls to create a balanced focal point that bridges historical character with modern simplicity.

Maintain walnut furniture by keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources, dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth, and occasionally applying pure beeswax.
