Antique French Kingwood Bureau With Porcelain Plaque And Ormolu, C.1890

An Antique French kingwood bureau dating from circa 1890, decorated with gilt bronze mounts and a hand-painted porcelain plaque to the fall-front.
 
The bureau opens to reveal a fitted writing interior with velvet-lined surface and small drawers. Standing on cabriole legs with ormolu mounts and sabots, the piece is finished with a pierced brass gallery to the top.
 
Good quality construction throughout and presented in excellent condition, with minor wear consistent with age.
