We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Nineteenth-century English glassware often features intricate wheel-engraved motifs, classical iconography, and heavy lead crystal composition, reflecting the neoclassical tastes of the period.

These pieces were typically crafted from heavy lead crystal, shaped by free-blowing or mould-blowing, and finished with meticulous wheel-engraving and polishing techniques.

Authentic pieces often exhibit characteristic pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear consistent with age, subtle imperfections within the glass matrix, and weight typical of high-lead content.

Displaying such items within glass-fronted cabinets, on open shelving, or as a focal point on a sideboard allows their detailed craftsmanship to be appreciated without risking accidental damage.

Antique glass should be washed by hand using lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock or scratching.
