The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this Cut Glass Preserve Pot to the 1910s.
The pot is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear consistent with some 100 years of use.

The pot is approximately cup-shaped and measures 9 cm (3.6 inches) in diameter at its widest point. The bowl is cut with large strawberry diamonds. The base is radially cut to the underside The pot is 7 cm (2.8 inches) in height without the cover and 12.5 cm (5 inches) in height with the cover on.
We believe it to be the original. It is of the same colour and metal as the bowl and is a good fit. The cover has a small aperture where a (silver) spoon would sit.

There is some minor fritting to the rim of the cover where it touches the bowl. There are no significant chips, cracks, significant scratches or any other evidence of restoration. A pretty piece of cut glass in excellent condition.
