Technical Description
A very rare late 19th century Art Nouveau glass water jug dating to c1890.
It has a square rim with a clear applied handle to one corner. The entire water jug has a rare internal nut moulding similar to ''Nipt Diamond Waies'' which is an earlier moulding style primarily from the 18th century.
Over the last 20+ years we have seen a few Cranberry dimple moulded examples with the same rim shape and handle and also a lime green rimmed example, from the same period. Who actually made them, Im afraid we dont know as there are so few of them still around. This clear example is a first, and we cant find any other examples in our library or on line.
A rare piece indeed.
