Deep cobalt bands alternate with burnished and matte gilding, floral enamelled garlands, scrollwork and guilloche borders. Typical Paris hard-paste body of the Restauration period.

Unmarked, in keeping with independent ateliers; comparable examples by Dihl et Guérhard and Darte Frères, and related to early Jacob Petit designs.
