William Rand Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The clock has an automated rocking ship on an illuminated ocean scene with cloud background. The ship rocks with the lit background changing from sunrise to sunset by with vibrant colours. It is encased in the original and rare green Bakelite case with chrome Art Deco dial and hands.

The ship is thought to be a replica of the famous Star of India, which was built in Ramsey in 1863.
In full working order, rewired in period style braided flex and PAT safety tested. In excellent condition; the case free from chips or cracks. The Perspex aperture with some minor scratching to left hand side, commensurate with age and use. This is an excellent example.
