Technical Description

A magnificent Queen Ann early 18th-century Baluster stem goblet.

A large round funnel bowl with a solid section at the base, above a an inverted baluster stem featuring a large central tear above a teared basal knop. Conical folded foot.

We have pictured the goblet next to a standard sized baluster wine glass and also a large baluster firing glass.

Date & Origin

England, c1710. Period of Anne.

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration.

Foot diameter: 10.4 cm.

Historical Context

Hand-blown around the time the Kingdom of Great Britain was created by the acts of union in 1706 and 1707.
