A very original, well constructed with exquisite hand painted chinoiserie decoration to the bow cupboard doors, featuring traditional oriental motifs and themes, including figures, pagoda and mountains.
The 2 door, bow fronted wall-hanging corner cupboard is in excellent and original condition, with all operating hinges and lock, the doors close evenly without warping and all the raised decoration is intact, a very fine example with original moulding to the top and bottom sections of the cupboard and further enhanced with a period teal-painted interior.
A charming English antique of both function and form, an interior design piece of considerable decorative and period appeal that can enhance a classic or contemporary space.
