Circa 19th Century
The vases are adorned with hand-painted motifs executed in shades of cobalt blue. These decorations include rectangular panels on each facet, enclosing figural scenes. Surrounding these panels and on other sections of the vases, patterns of foliage, scrolls, and borders are present. The items are constructed from porcelain, coated with a transparent glaze that covers the underglaze blue decoration. The colour scheme is limited to white and variations of blue, a characteristic of Chinese blue and white porcelain. The style and decoration align with characteristics observed in Chinese ceramics, particularly those produced during the Qing Dynasty, a period known for its distinctive porcelain artistry.
