Pair Victorian Engraved Yellow Uranium Wine Glasses C1870

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Exhibit Antiques

Technical Description

A superb pair of 19th-century ''vaseline'' wine glasses. They have ogee bowls with a band of cut and engraved festoons with engraved fleur-de-lis above each swag. A band of slice cuts at the base of the bowl above angular knop stems. Conical feet with snapped pontils. We have included a single picture of one of the glasses photographed under UV light. As you can see the effect is dramatic.
