Technical Description

A superb 18th century Green Roemer wine glass dating to c1790.

It has a large cup bowl with an open hollow stem allowing the wine to flow to the top of the foot. It has a milled applied collar to the shoulders with applied raspberry prunts. Conical foot with hand applied trailing and a snapped pontil.

Made in England for the export market.

Date & Origin

England, 1790. Period of George III

Condition

Excellent, no chips or cracks or restoration. A few very small sections of the foot trailing are missing, which is quite normal for this type of decoration.
