FAQs

Blue and white ceramics have a rich history spanning centuries across East Asia, initially gaining prominence through cobalt underglaze pigments fired at high temperatures on refined clay.

Authentic pieces are crafted from fine-grained kaolin clay and petuntse, finished with a transparent glaze and cobalt oxide pigments before kiln firing.

Authenticity is determined by examining underglaze blue depth, base footring characteristics, glaze imperfections, and any maker marks or reign characters.

Pair them with neutral architectural elements, placing them on sideboards or mantelpieces to create a focal point that contrasts with contemporary minimalism.

Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth or lukewarm water without harsh detergents, avoiding abrasive materials to protect the delicate surface glaze.
