19th century
Description

19th c. Bohemian Blue Glass Chatelaine Scent Bottle – Gilded & Enamelled

A decorative late 19th-century cobalt blue glass scent bottle, likely Bohemian, dating to circa 1870–1890.

Of ovoid form with original gilt metal collar and suspension chain, the body hand-painted with scrolling gilt designs and white enamelled floral detail. The screw-threaded neck would once have been fitted with a small cap (now lacking).

Measures: 4.5 cm high (excluding chain) x 2.5 cm wide

Condition: Cap missing. Some rubbing to gilding and aged patina to metal.
