Description

Locke & Co Worcester Blush Ivory Pot Pourri Vase c.1900

A fine quality antique pot pourri vase by Locke & Co. of Worcester, dating to around 1900. Of elegant baluster form with a flared, lobed rim, the body is richly decorated with pierced fretwork and moulded scrolling foliate ornament. Finished in the classic blush ivory glaze, graduating from pale cream to soft peach, and highlighted with fine hand-applied gilding throughout.

Marked to the base with the red printed factory backstamp: LOCKE & CO LTD, SHRUB HILL WORKS, WORCESTER, ENGLAND.

Condition: Very good antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Minor wear to the gilding in places, consistent with age.
