Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Nouveau and Jugendstil glassware produced around the turn of the twentieth century is recognised by organic forms, botanical motifs, elongated proportions, and hand-applied enamelling or iridescent finishes inspired by nature.

These pieces were typically mouth-blown using soda-lime or crystal glass, often featuring drawn colored stems fused to clear bowls before being decorated with vitreous enamel paints and fired in a kiln.

Authentic historical enamel glassware displays slight variations in enamel thickness from hand painting, subtle pontil marks on the base, minor foot rim friction, and accurate period proportions rather than modern uniform transfers.

Displaying enamelled stemware on a dining room sideboard, inside a glazed cabinet, or atop a mirrored bar cart allows light to highlight the translucent glass and hand-painted surface decoration.

Clean hand-enamelled glass gently using tepid water and mild liquid soap with a soft non-abrasive cloth, avoiding dishwashers, hot water, or harsh chemicals that could compromise the fired enamel artwork.
