Georgian Deceptive Toastmaster's Heavy Baluster Dram Glass

This is a Georgian, deceptive toastmaster''s heavy baluster dram glass dating from the early part of the 18th century, c1725.
 
The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 300 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.
 
 
The glass has a funnel-shaped bowl measuring 5.2 cm (2.1 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl thickens as it descends to reduce the amount of liqour it can hold and sits on an inverted baluster stem containing an air tear and a conical, folded foot which measures 6.6 cm (2.6 inches) in diameter. The glass is 11.7 cm (4.7 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
