Lined with baize (see photos). Reportedly purpose built as a skeleton cupboard for Chard Cottage Hospital it would have been used by a physician or surgeon for the purpose of storing an anatomical skeleton out of sight of the casual observer.
The original skeleton has since been replaced with an articulated skeleton model used as a teaching aid. If you wish to have the cupboard shelved we would keep the skeleton and provide shelving. Or you can keep the skeleton and we can provide shelves at an extra cost.
