An 18th Century French Oak Rustic Coffer.
This provincially made piece is charming and retains a lovely colour and patination. It features a carved and panelled front with a central roundel or patera and a wavy apron beneath it with a strong moulded edge. The simple planked top and pegged construction are typical of furniture of this type and has its original surface and colour.
