This piece is an Art Deco period ovoid vase created by René Lalique in the nineteen twenties. Made from press-moulded glass with a satin frosted white finish, the vessel displays a distinct vertical relief pattern of acacia leaf fronds spanning from the base towards the narrow neck. The surface configuration also incorporates six raised vertical panels alternating between the foliate decoration, culminating in a simple round rim. Signs of age and wear include a small chip visible on the upper rim, alongside the moulded maker mark. The object stands 20.5 cm high and measures 11 cm wide. In a contemporary home, this decorative item serves as an elegant display piece on a sideboard top, mantelpiece or display cabinet. Collectors and enthusiasts of early twentieth-century design can integrate the vessel into interior settings as a standalone decorative accent or use it to hold delicate floral arrangements. The frosted glass catches room lighting effectively, highlighting the intricate leaf motifs and the smooth vertical dividers that define the classic silhouette.

Art Deco glass from the 1920s and 1930s is characterised by geometric silhouettes, stylized naturalistic motifs, and contrasting textured finishes such as satin frosting alongside polished high-relief surfaces.

Moulded glass pieces were created using metal moulds into which molten glass was pressed or blown, followed by acid-etching or sandblasting to create the distinctive opaque, frosted surface texture.

Authentic pieces are identified by specific wheel-cut, moulded, or acid-etched signatures, exact physical weight, clarity of detail in the relief carving, and verification against official catalogue model numbers.

Position glass vessels on dark wooden sideboards, marble mantelpieces, or lit display cabinets where direct light can highlight the translucent foliage patterns and frosted surface relief.

Wash frosted glass gently by hand using lukewarm water and a mild non-abrasive detergent, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges that could scratch the delicate surface texture.
