Glassware from this period often features geometric cutting patterns, such as diamonds or fans, reflecting the transition towards modern design while retaining traditional craftsmanship.

These pieces are typically crafted from lead crystal or flint glass, which provides a high refractive index and a clear, resonant ring when tapped.

Authentic pieces often display minor surface wear, slight irregularities in the hand-cut facets, and a heavier weight due to the lead content in the glass composition.

Displaying these items in a traditional drinks cabinet or on a bar cart adds texture and historical interest to contemporary living spaces.

Antique crystal should be washed by hand in warm water using a mild detergent, avoiding harsh dishwashers and sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock.
