Description

A French 18 karat (18K) yellow gold charm pendant or medal designed by Monier depicting the profile of the Virgin Mary at prayer, surrounded by a faceted frame. Stamped with the eagle's head for French manufacture, the makers mark for Perriat, and signed Monier. Engraved to the reverse "Anne-Marie 20-10-1966'.

Emile Adolphe Monier (1883-1970) was a French sculptor and medallist who studied under Ponscarme and Charpentier who typified the Art Deco period.
