A French 18 karat (18K) yellow gold charm pendant or medal designed by Monier depicting the profile of the Virgin Mary. Stamped with the eagle''s head for French manufacture and signed Monier. Engraved to the reverse ''VD'' in block capitals.
 
Emile Adolphe Monier (1883-1970) was a French sculptor and medallist who studied under Ponscarme and Charpentier who typified the Art Deco period.
