Good Pair of Heavy 14" Silver Plated Chargers

Description

A pair of very heavy silver plated chargers. Both date to the mid 19th Century and are marked for maker 'SB GG'. One is engraved to the reverse for 'Presented by Mrs MacFadzean to the Ardrossan New Church 1851' and the other for 'Presented by Mrs MacFadzean to the New Church and Parish of Ardrossan 5th June 1851'. A very impressive pair of salvers.

The condition is good overall with no dents or splits. Slight signs of age related and some faint surface scratching as is to be expected. Otherwise a very solid pair of platters.

Weight approx 3kg.

Diameter approx 35.5cm.
