This is a wonderful antique Japanese table cabinet which dates from the Meiji period, circa 1860 / 1880.The cabinet has is exquisitely detailed with a wide array of bronze animals. It has attractive handles to the drawers and carrying handles to the sides.There are in total 8 drawers, 1 sliding cupboard and a secret cupboard. The secret cupboard is to the top right, which looks like a panel, but this can be lifted up slightly then pushed back at the bottom such that the panel then goes backwards and can be taken out. The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are : 20 7/8 inches / 53 cm wide excluding carrying handles, 10 1/4 inches / 26 cm deep x 23 1/16 inches / 58.5 cm high.CONDITION: The cabinet is in lovely original antique condition with a superb patina as can be seen from the photographs just odd age related marks commensurate with age.
