Lovely French D’Argental (ca. 1920) cameo vase decorated with Irises. 20cm (8 inches) tall.

Mint condition. Confirmed as genuine by expert Mike Moir (www.manddmoirco.uk).

D'Argental vase were made by Paul Nicolas, who was Chief Designer at Gallé and later went on to make glass under his own name and for St Louis under the name D'Argental. D'Argental workmanship is consistently good and this vase is no exception, but D'Argental is not as well known as Gallé or Daum, so the prices are still quite reasonable.
