A fine and rare example of a Charles II Walnut Cabinet On Stand of beautiful golden colour having the original twist legs, stretchers and bun feet. The exterior with matched fiddleback Walnut veneers and feather banding, the interior fitted with drawers and central door having striking figured Walnut veneers. The condition of the piece is quite remarkable, the doors have remained flat and have not suffered from the usual shrinkage expected on these early cabinets. Having incredibly clean original walnut linings throughout. Handles replaced in keeping with the period.
With working keys for the original locks to the cabinet interior and exterior doors.
