Pair of large Royal Doulton ‘Blue Children’ vases, c. 1900. The tall, conical shaped vases, decorated in underglaze blue, with scenes of children in woodland.
The first with two young girls in bonnets, engrossed by a tiny witch. The second vase, with a young girl holding a doll, seated on a log, accompanied by a frog.
Both vases with twin gilt handles.
Printed and impressed factory marks to the bases of both vases.
Height – 28.5 cm, 11 1/4”.
Diameter – 13 cm, 5 1/8”.
Condition – Glaze crack to underside of one vase – please see image for detail. No damage or restoration to the vases.
