Georgian Irish glass, produced heavily in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, is characterised by heavy lead content, distinctive blueish tints, and deep, sharp-cut geometric patterns.

Clean gently with lukewarm water and mild detergent using a soft bottle brush, avoiding harsh chemicals and extreme temperature fluctuations to protect the antique glass.

Positioned on a dark wood sideboard or bar cart, it brings reflective texture and historical depth to modern transitional spaces.

Authentic items show weight due to high lead content, natural inclusions or air bubbles within the metal, and characteristic wear on the base from friction.

These pieces were hand-blown using heavy potash-lead metal, then finished with hand-cut flutes, ribbing, or diamond motifs, often featuring polished pontil marks on the base.
