Rare ‘Alexandrite’ wine glass the bowl with honeycomb moulding Webb c1900.
 
Bowl dia: 5.8 cm.
 
Foot dia: 6.1 cm.
 
Condition: Very good.
 
Note: Thomas Webb introduced Alexandrite glass which is a heat reactive glass around 1900. This glass needed to be be reheated twice, firstly to obtain the red colour change from amber and finally to reheating the rim to obtain the beautiful violet colour. These are very rare glasses for a similar example see The Parkington Collection Part II, 8th April 1998, Christies South Kensington Lot No. 304.
