A very rare Victorian engraved gilt-brass striking strut clock by Thomas Cole, London, retailed by C.F. Hancock, London, circa 1845. The silvered dial is profusely engraved with foliage, and within the chapter ring it bears a monogram of a W with a crown above. We are still researching which duke, baroness, or member of the royal family this may have belonged to. The crown looks to be more of a duke�s crown of the period - more information will be following shortly.
