A Fine London 8 day antique Longcase Grandfather clock

Made by James Scholefield of London, with a comprehensive history dating back to the early 1800's

History includes previous owners, addresses, even surviving damage in a World War II air raid!

Figured Burr Walnut case in very good condition, dating to circa 1760

The clock with its original Brass & Silvered dial with working seconds and calendar dials.

Striking the hours on a bell, subsidiary strike silent dial to the arch to silence the bell strike on demand

5 pillar rack and snail strike 8 day movement in excellent condition

Stunning long figured Burr Walnut door with lock and key

Brass piping to the hood pillars. hood door with lock and key

Beautiful brass coated weights

Height - 87 1/2 inches, Width at base plinth - 20 inches
